Writing a Blog III

Its been almost six months since I started this project.  Believe me, child birth was easier! (Of course in the 60’s and 70’s they gave you drugs for that…)   Anyway I think we finally have a format that is both informative and user friendly.

We have a new “plug-in” for the recipes.  You will find an example of both formats as you look through the recipes, at least for awhile.  My goal is to re-post all recipes into the new format.  Now the recipes are easily searched from the search bar at the top of the site.  Once you have a recipe you like you can print a copy.  Another feature of the new plug-in is if you want to serve more people than the recipe is written for you can increase the number of servings in the square and the recipe will do the math for you.  It is much easier to post pictures with the recipes too!  I think this has been a fun addition that you will enjoy.

So now we have it .  A spot to record a collection of recipes, old and new, that the family has been using for years as well as new favorites.  They come from many sources, old recipes books, Marlene Sorosky is one of my favorites, old friends, Noreen, and new adventures, like Jason’s wood-burning pizza oven and Jeff’s pig roast.  The Traegar has brought a lot of new recipes into the picture , Jock’s an expert on  smoked almonds, bar-b-q-cue  pork,  well the list goes on.

So stay tuned, as they say, more is yet to come!  We hope you will find this spot fun and useful and a  great place to answer that burning question….What’s for dinner?
