Use this glaze over any fruit dessert that you want to sparkle like jewels. It tastes good, complements the fruit, is a feast for the eyes as well as your taste buds.
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
dash salt
1 cup orange juice
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1 tablespoon orange- flavored liqueur
Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in a small saucepan. Gradually stir in orange juice until smooth Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 2 minutes. Add orange peel. Cover and cool. Stir in orange liqueur.
Use a pastry brush to coat fruit that has been arranged .
